All's (more or less) good now that I've finished my essay. When I wake up a bit (feel rather like a zombie at the mo, since I got to bed about 5am, and probably didn't sleep till 6) I'm going to give it a quick read through then print it off and hope my printer doesn't bugger up. The Shelleys' Circle bods we're studying are of course, the two best know Shelleys previously mentioned, but what a family of writers and philosphers is linked to them! William Godwin (Mary Shelleys father), Mary Wollstonecraft (MS' late mother), John Polidori and Bryon, who were the two other writers who partook in the ghost story sessions are the ones that spring immediately to mind. I could be missing some, but I wrote about Godwin and Wollstonecraft.
Completely off topic, I'm an idiot - while I was writing this my friend who I'd had tea with last night came round with my bag... But then I had my hands rather full when I left her room, having been assigned kitchen duty with the plates, so it's not that surprising.. Edit - ah the excellence of proof reading when not falling asleep at the computer! Edited again, woo hoo! Essay finished and printed! Go me! Last edited by adventurefan; 03-17-2006 at 02:29 AM. |

This thread is no place for intelligent discourse!
So let's talk about the growth of nationalist movements in nineteenth century Europe... |

Oooh, my favourite topic!
On another note, I just saw a guy on ITV news called "Robert Lacey" I felt that was worth mentioning.

There are several Robert Laceys. Mind you, I'm making it my life's ambition to usurp this imposter to my historian's crown...

He was talking about the publishing of Prince Charles' private diaries, which we all know contain lengthy entries about his and Camilla's bondage room.

Ah, that would be the royal biographer Robert Lacey (distinct from the aforementioned historian).

If so, as a member of the American Socialist Party, I hereby officially condemn you for being so young but having such conservative ideals. Shall we take a few lively steps to the left? You know you want to. Liberals tend to have more sex than conservatives. Compare Bush to Clinton for example. |
