Maybe the Thread will die peacefully in its sleep? Amazingly, it still hasn't died of boredom, tedium or the monotony of Mr. Lacey's "..." posts yet.

A Nation Mourns
Die, Thread Must Thread Must Die passed away peacefully on September 5, 2010. He was surrounded by loved ones and the friends he accumulated during his long and eventful life at his passing, and several, including Robert Lacey, were hovering over him waiting for him to finally stop breathing and croak. The eulogy will be held on the 10th.

Paranoid Conspiracy Walnuts Actually Right!!
The Thread's tragic death earlier this week, like the death of any major figure - examples including Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, and Professor Oak - was met with both despair, and mystery. Only minutes after the news of the Thread's gory death of natural causes broke, videos surfaced of the Thread being transported away in a van. Many were glad to say this was fake: "It's always the way, isn't it? People want their stars to shine, but they don't realise that they DO... in our hearts!" commented Anthony Hopkins, "The video is a piece of gelatinous wank," said Prince. However, many sightings were reported of someone looking like Thread... and it was found that the death certificate was written on the back of a cereal box. Not many reactions have been gained on this news yet, but there are some: "But... how? I remember ki... I mean... uh... whoa. That's a surprise!" commented Robert Lacey, "Well stroke my abdomen and call me Chindlestork." said Prince.

In fact, the only thread to die seems to have been the Thread Must Diet!, which unfortunately was only able to gain more and more weight, until it simply stopped eating.
