Cold Topic

A thread most controversial, that’s what I want to start
Full of impassioned arguments, of posting from the heart
And for this stimulation all will be thankful to me
On come on everybody it won’t work if you agree

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Martha the Cat is a Mighty Pirate

Why do I say it again, you ask? Well, I'm not glad you asked, but it's because that is just so great. I think I'll just repost that until you grow tired of it and leave.

Oh my god, the impossible has happened... I've found a James Blunt song that I'm not adverse to... I absolutely HATE 'beautiful', it's just so whiny and dreary, but heard 'wisemen', and knew I'd heard it before, but didn't know who it was. A quick search on HMV revealed the singer I usually hate... I'm pretty glad now I didn't catch who it was in public, on the radio, because I may have drawn attention to myself with my reaction...

We used to use "boon" as an insult when I were a lad, so it's all bad.

Yeah, it amazed me as well. I wouldn't exactly call it good, but tolerable, certainly, and I never thought I'd say that about any of his songs! Beautiful, on the other hand... Worst song ever! (well, one of them, sugababes push the button comes pretty high up on that list too!)
Really was quite surprised when I found out who it was... Still, apart from rather odd lyrics (which is perhaps what made the song marginally attractive to me), it's fairly normal fare... Now, Captain Beefheart on the other hand...

You don't wanna be blunt, you'll start taking your clothes off in the cold and singing shit depressing songs. Pile of whiney stupid arse.
