Well, I'm back at college, and I work the front desk of one of the dorms. The desk has to be manned 24/7, so here I am, pulling the graveyard shift. I already had to pull the 9pm to midnight shift, and one early yesterday morning, and I just started Friday. I'm so tired, but I'm getting money. And the job is easy, just sit here and if someone comes, help them. When no one's around, like this hour of the night, I can just get online, listen to music, pretty much anything, as long as I don't leave the desk. So I like this job, I'm not complaining. I'm just really tired right now. Here it's 4:41 am right now. And Louie comes tomorrow, and I'm going to be....

Here's a cup of coffee for you Fantasy.

Fantasy, even though very tough on you to work during the nights I think you have chosen a good way to earn money. And the fact that you do earn your own money is great! Many of my kid's (16 and 18y/o) friends are too lazy to even try getting a summer job and rely on their parents to support them with expensive clothes, gas and whatnot during the semester.
My daughter pulls long shifts at Mc Donald's this summer. And since she's at the drive through by one of the busiest highways in Sweden she sometimes hardly gets any breaks at all. She's quite exhausted but is looking forward to the money.
My son is having two jobs (as I've mentioned before) driving for a delivery company and also working at a gas station. (by the same highway, so also very busy)

Thanks Mommy. lol

I don't drink coffee, but I appreciate the sentiment. lol

I have many friends who are spoiled, depending on their parents to give them money for everything, and their parents do it. My parents are very cheap, and I guess they are doing me a favor by not giving me money. They are paying for college, actually a savings account left by my grandmother is paying for college. But yes, I have their cheapness gene, so I don't feel so guilty on spending money on simple tyhings like food when I have a job. I did when I didn't have anjob, I was scared of all of my money going away. But I have saved up more than $3000 for my Britian trip, so I'm financially good. lol

I'm glad your kids are working hard for "a living". lol I've seen pictures of them both, and I must say, you make good looking babies. lol Including me!! lol

Thanks for the support, Mom.

What do you mean "graveyard shift"? It's 1.23 PM!

Yes, but that's just because Sweden, like Canada, only has one road.

But to the "lazy spoiled children" discussion: even if in many cases it is(/might be) true that those who don't really earn money for themselves are pretty much "spoiled and lazy", don't make the mistake of thinking that everyone like that is... It's not just work that's hard work, after all

As I said before, I've been working the 9pm to midnight and then the 3am to 6am shift. So it's graveyard to me.

And I didn't mean to offend by saying some are spoiled. I know some people, like my own brother, re hard up even though he's working, and borrows money from my mom. I just meant, especially with some teenagers, that if their parents are willing to give them money, they don't think they need to work for any.

My college is a work school, so I have to work 10 hours every week. I'll be answering the phones at the admissions office.

At least it isn't manual labor.

Ooh boy why you so obsessed with me?
Boy I want to know- lyin’ that you’re sexin me
when everybody knows it’s clear that you’re upset with me
Ohh finally found a girl that you couldn’t impress
Last man on the earth- still couldn’t get this

You’re delusional, you’re delusional
Boy you’re losing your mind
It’s confusin yo, you’re confused you know
Why you wasting your time?
Got you all fired up with your Napoleon complex
See right through you like you’re bathin’ in windex

I come from the water
I crawled upon the shore
I left my brothers there
I got what I came for

I sucked that hot air in
And rolled upon the sand
Emerged beneath the sun
To be a man.

I come from the water
I come from the water
That weren't no easy thing
It's more than nature
It's like my destiny

I stood upon these legs
And held my head up high
Emerged beneath the sun
To start a new life

What does 'preagnant' mean?

It's what you will be someday, after you meet the right guy.

Potentially witty, but you still haven't explained what the word 'preagnant' means...

That's "pregnant" in Finnish.
