Day Four of the Xbox 360 Crisis

Giliganland - They lean idly against walls, slump awkwardly on debris, and lay in the dust. Sunken eyes stare at nothing from gaunt faces. They are emotionless, but one can feel the despair. An unsettling quiet hangs over them, broken only by the wind whistling through the desolate town. Even hawks and buzzards steer clear of this wasteland.

This is the Republic of Dan, and these are its inhabitants. Since losing their Xbox 360 four days ago, the entire populace of this small sovereign nation has been devastated. Some feel that its future has been destroyed. "I can't see any light at the end of the tunnel", lamented one citizen. "It's just...where is the relief? Where's the help? (What) are we supposed to do?" another questioned.

For now, there is little light at the end of the tunnel. With the Xbox 360 inoperable, and the PC unable to handle new games, "It's just done" according to the chief economic official. To make matters worse, in a statement released today to the nation, Microsoft stated "[...] we are unable to deliver to you your shipping label/box." In light of this news, the United Nations' Chaos, Anarchy, and General Annoyance Watch said today that it expects massive increases in chaos, anarchy, and general annoyance in Giliganland.

No reason for the delay was given, but to the affected people, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that it will be cleared at some point in the near future, and if not - there is no light at the end of the tunnel for these individuals.

Moron Idiotdude is the Associate Press' chief correspondent to the Republic of Dan.

Nope! I mean, I guess they could be, but that's not what I was thinking of.
