Good idea!!! to bad it's like 8 years to late now. Mine are all teens now and are to busy texting.

I can't text to save my life. I even have trouble typing on my iPod Touch's tiny little keyboard.

I think it's silly using a *phone* to write messages, unless it's to leave a note for later when it wouldn't be a good idea to phone them, or you can't phone them because the phone is off. But holding a conversation that way is a way backwards: Phones were developed to make direct conversation easier. Texting takes much longer than quickly phoning someone and telling them directly.

I have a slide-out keyboard on my phone, so I don't actually mind texting, though I much prefer it when people email me...

I love the keyboard on my Palm Centro.
My wife can send me a message at work and then answer when I have time.

It takes me like ten minutes to type out a text message.

They fired the Falcon rocket engines in McGregor TX, 40 miles away from my house. I know this due to the bright glow and the rumbling. Here's to the Falcon rocket system and the Dragon space module.

Is it bad that for the "Lsot Crown" playthrough, I actually have to type out two posts, since all of my thoughts won't fit onto one...?

Very true. However, some cell phone plans such as the one my S/O has offer "free text messaging", as in text messages don't count against one's monthly allotment of minutes, so texting becomes a lot more attractive in that light. Only the fact that I'm basically a polite and tolerant person has kept me from slapping his hand, handing him my phone, and saying "Oh for God's sake, just call them and tell them what you want to say!" when he's busily hammering out a text message in a restaurant.
