If they are stuck you can run software to try and unstick them or you can "tap" the pixel back to life with a pen.

Believe me, I've tried those methods. In fact, I'm currently doing a prolonged test with the software fix at the moment.

The pressure attempt, meanwhile, removed one, though it has the tendency to creep back in. No luck at all with the (more irritating, and much closer to the centre of the screen) bright green one, though.

(Thank you for the suggestions, though.)

Oh well. I suppose that this is what I get when I only pay £260 for a 24" monitor...

Have you considered the possibility of giving up your computer and cell phone and becaming a communications hermit?

Oh my god.

Robert Lacey has brought a pixel back to life! From death! He has resurrected a pixel!
Is this why he can't kill the thread? Are his powers tied to bringing things to life instead?

Basically, there were a lot of people and there were a lot of weasels and one thing led to another and now I've evolved into a being of pure energy.

Cthulhu is cute. ^_^

I have a very huggable Cthulhu. Two, actually, one of them wearing academic robes and mortar board. ^_^

Yes, I know of those two, but would you really hug one that was quite that large, and quite that resolutely-not-a-plush-toy?

I've heard it's the only way to keep it from doing nasty things to you.

Partly because you show it love, and it's touched, but mostly because it can't reach you with its pointy ends when you're wrapped around it, you see.

Well, I was tempted to buy the really large Cthulhu plush toy...you know, the one that is as large as I am. And I'd quite definitely would hug that one.

Though I guess it doesn't fullfill the "resolutely-not-a-plush-toy" criterium.

And I guess it depends. At that size, I'd probably just be able to hug its little finger at most, anyway.

I now have 30 plastic mini Cthulhus. Not particularly huggable, especially when I lost my last one to Woe.

No, you're even more huggable than Cthulhu, Hammykins! *hugs*

I'm sorry that I might have given the impression Cthulhu to might be more huggable. Because that isn't true. You'll always be more huggable. *hugs even more*

Indeed Hammerite. Hugging you has distinct advantages over hugging Cthulhu. You don't have to deal with tentacle slime or being crushed like an inconsequential bug, both of which are big pluses when it comes to hugging. I might have to worry about you cruelly murdering me but I'm willing to forgive that.
