They've got a customer service?!

O.o

I've heard terrible tales of ALDI in other countries. They're alright here, though I guess I don't have that high expectations of them, knowing they're the mother of all discounters around here.

I love their Applesauce and Apple Juice, though. They're delicious.

Their Chocolate Chip Cookies rock too, as do their Egg waffles. ^_^

I imagine that that might be difficult, seeing as we've managed to have Walmart flee the country, with its tail between its legs.

Seriously, we did. There no longer is Walmart in Germany. And good riddance too, their service was awful.

I thought about wishing people a happy Thanksgiving, but most of the people in here are those weird, unthankful Europeans.

That, and the Pilgrims didn't land in Europe, so... yeah.

You should've wished us a happy Thanksgiving, like, over a month ago.

Same here. Thanksgiving is on the first sunday in October, not in November!

Quite. I missed out on getting a new PC from them (which was actually very reasonable for what they were charging, in the sense that I couldn't build it myself that cheaply), despite being first in the queue (in fact, I arrived a good 40 minutes before the shop opened, and 20 minutes before everyone else).

And why did I miss out? Because the staff at this Aldi store decided to ignore Aldi's policies on dealing with these occasions, and so didn't tell anyone where to go. Stupid old me made the mistake of heading for the display boxes for the PCs and whatnot, rather than straight to a till .

The conversation I've had with the regional manager has been rather unproductive so far - despite categorically admitting that they were at fault, they seem desperate to avoid actually doing anything about it. Oh well, there's always Head Office to complain to...
