Here's an embarrassing, true event:
I once asked a neighbour lady if she was pregnant again. (She certainly looked pregnant)

But she wasn't!

It took her a year or two to say hello to me again when meeting outdoors. Not that it bothered me, I never like her much.

In my day there were no such things as elementary school kids, at that age they were small enough to fit up a chimney, so they were made to earn a living just like everyone else!

I need to get some schoolwork done, but I'm already two grades ahead, I've got a cough, and I don't feel like it, so I think I'll just lay around and play video games.

Ah, homeschooling. What a life.

No doubt about it! And regarding your prayer: the laughing was most likely a friendly/fun laughter, right?
I'm sure I would have laughed as well, thinking: that guy is fun.
Having something like that happening might often "break the ice" and lead to small talk which is a start to get to know people.

It was. Of course, them not knowing about the cows-in-the-back-yard catastrophe beforehand may have left them confused, but still, I think they thought it was pretty funny. Anyway, they warmly welcomed me to come back next week, so it's all good.

*spits out coffee laughing*

Okay, well, I didn't really just do that. But it was still funny.

Try seeing the funny side of idiots, as exemplified by this video.

What's not funny is that she has a vagina and can procreate (and probably has).

Oh, and look! She even wrote "Rainbow's" when she meant "Rainbows".

It's true. I wasn't always an accountant. I originally worked as a trainee site engineer (one of the people that make sure things are built where the plans say they should be) but the bottom dropped out of the building market.

There was a temporary barrier at the edge of a big hole (uprights with planks nailed roughly across them) and the time had come to take it down (so the hole could be enlarged). Me and my trusty hammer set to knocking planks off uprights when I come to one that was really firmly fixed. Bracing myself for better leverage I give it a good few solid whacks and it comes free. At this point I realise that it was the plank I was bracing myself against. Let's just say flinging my arms around the upright (thus hitting myself with the hammer held in one hand) was better than falling into a hole full of pointy steel reinforcing bars.

You don't fool us. It was a deliberate ploy to stop her talking to you wasn't it?

It worked for a few years, but then they bought a dog and it was hard to ignore her when I was out with Jaffa. Today my trusty bitch hates the sight of her dog (bitch as well) so I don't have to talk to her again.

All is well.

Then say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime,
Let me lead you from your solitude,
Say you need me with you here, beside you,
Anywhere you go, let me go too...
Christine, that's all I ask of you!
