I did. That was incredible. The bit at the end, especially - the lighting of the torch. Amazing.

How long does this sport malarkey go on for? I want to get back to watching the Chinese doing what they do best, oppression.

I liked the opening, the drums, especially during and before the countdown.

I guess I'm a sucker for light effects.

(Edit): This was in Conan a bit back (my interpretation):
"Beijing has banned dog meat in its restaurants for the duration of the olympics. This gives a new meaning to the term 'Hello Kitty'"

The Blog and its relationship advice is so annoying. How could anyone have the patience to deal with something as petty and annoying as a typical significant other? What a drag.

I have one of those television wives, you know the type that nags a lot and is always right. I slap her around a bit.

It was great...but of course, once again no one thought it necessary to tell the people who were selected for carrying the flags of their countries *HOW* you properly carry a flag. Seriously, I could see how even that one Boxer's legs were tired already.

You can still do that on BBC World, dear.

I never plan to, so I vote no.

The key is to avoid ever having any responsibility.

I've done well in that department so far. Actually, being tied down to anything has usually led me to panic and back out, so we're good.

I recommend a vasectomy, from what I've seen, children seem to be the biggest burden that breeders ever suffer.

But why deprive yourself of "the other other white meat", if you know what I mean?

It's not a deprivation, if you ever feel peckish you can always grab a quick snack, like I did with Madeline McCann.
