*shrugs*

Well, it was your concept.

*yawns*

Life as a left-handed redhead has prepared me for the stinging retorts and stake-burnings perpetrated by the torch-and-pitchfork-wielding villagers.

I sleep the sleep of the relatively unconcerned.

You sinister person, you.

I love a good Latin-based joke.

I'm right-handed and have dark hair. I feel so boring.

You being boring has nothing to do with your hair colour or right-handedness .

What is the point of an avatar? I was thinking about it, and I honestly can't think of a plausible reason why an avatar should exist. It's not like Merricat is a pirate/governess, or I wear a sleeveless teeshirt with ammo loops on the straps, or RLacey is on a TV show, so it could be said to be misleading.

What's so misleading about me being Guybrush Threepwood in a poofy pink dress?

Well, unlike Guybrush in The Curse of Monkey Island, you don't have any bananas in your pants, for one thing.

What?

You mean like something the lead character in this game would do?

Magnum loaded with dum-dums. That would swat pretty heavily.

How do you know Merricat isn't a pirate/governess?

And you know you would walk around in a sleeveless teeshirt with ammo loops on the straps if you could.

As for Mr Lacey, do you not think his ongoing desire to kill this thread in the face of all opposition shows signs of Mr Monk's obsessive compulsiveness?

Well put.
I do have a pirate smile. And I've lived on several islands. But I have a better fashion sense than Elaine (although I absolutely approve of her footwear)...and my hair is curly. However, I haven't been a governer for years.

And Mr. Lacey is a cranky-boots, much like Mr. Monk (have a nap, Mr. Lacey).

I don't know...I don't use a photo because my husband would not like that at all.

And Squinky, in this day and age, you can ask for any banana that you see and think you might enjoy.

Hmm. Yes, that wouldn't be bad at all.

True, I can't deny any of those, but even so, you know...

Whatever.

I think some avatars bear an element of fantasy, obviously, but also represent an aspect or combination of aspects of the personality behind it.

*shrugs*

Or maybe it's all about humor and whimsy.

Or, god forbid, irony.

Tsk.

Ah, a nap. I'll do that at the end of the month once my exams are over.

You should change your forum name to "Before a brisk nap".

One change is enough. At least until the authorities catch up with me.
