I picked up a rat once, by the tail. He had been dead a while, though, and the little ring of skin I was holding on slid off. It was kinda slimy underneath.

Alrighty. He was brownish, obviously, except where he had been shot. The bullet had traveled through his rear end, through his body, through his spine, and came out his head. He never felt a thing, but it was rather messy, all in all. The person who had done him in somehow conscripted me to remove the body (just how this happened is still clouded in mystery). I think I can say with certainty that the ants were the only dudes enjoying themselves that day.
