Well, 5,000 more posts than the second-most active poster will have that affect, yes.

Your heart is hard as stone or mahogany.

Obviously some obscure reference, that.

Mahogany is more sensuous than stone.

The word "mahogany" reminds me of Simon the Sorcerer. That's where I first heard it in English, and I still think it sounds funny.

That's why you're in such exquisite agony, Miss Squankz?

Today I learnt the bizarre Scottish word "outwith" and I don't like it.

I'm astounded to find out that "outwith" is peculiar to us Scots. How can the rest of you survive without outwith?

e.g. Outwith normal working hours!

You're pronouncing it wrong. It should be "ogany" (to rhyme with "mahogany")

Do The Elements now.

No, it's okay. But I'm glad that someone else is familiar with the works of one of the greatest living American satirists.

I ache for the touch of your lips, Dear,
But much more for the touch of your whips, Dear.

At school I had a chemistry teacher who persuaded members of one of his classes to sing that in an assembly, it was amusing.

Tom Lehrer

Of course, it now occurs to me that Squinky is effectively asking Robert to dismember her ( hey, it's in the lyrics) What's more Mr Lehrer was quite fond of poisoning one of her games. Anyone else find that odd?

EDIT : Added link to a video of Mr Lehrer singing that very song (see above)

Interesting videos (I'd only seen a couple of them), though I'm not a huge fan of those particular performances. He seems to be playing up too much for the cameras, and so fumbles some bits.

I've been lying to all of you this entire time. I HATE adventure games, hate them!!!! *muhhwwwaaahaaaa!!!!* (that was my lame attempt at "evil" laughter)

I get sick, twisted joy out of cleaning that funky stuff out of my belly button...or the funky stuff out from underneath my toenails when I clip them.

Yeah, be-yotches....top that!!!

Silly English people, naming the place "Battle" after the Battle of Hastings. It would have made much more sense to name the place "Hastings".

Of course, Mr. Leher is pronouncing it "Mohagony", and not "Mahogany", which always irked me.

Also, I was very amused when they had Abbey in one episode of NCIS play "The Elements". It was actually a mayor plot element, so it made my geek heart jump higher. The episode was "Ex-File", which is episode 3 from Season 5. I already love that show, but that endeared it even more to me. ^_^

I'm familiar with it too, don't you remember?

Let's go poisoning some Pigeons.
