Shoot the face of the statue of Queen Victoria with the blunderbuss, thus creating a statue of Queen Elizabeth. Smack it with the other thing with the lump on the end and adorn it with the $100 and the instructions, and you have "Porkpie".

But that doesn't answer the question of when ITV are going to stop saying "Coming Soon" and tell us when the damn show is actually appearing.

I hate it when TV channels run saturation ads for something with "Coming Soon" at the end. If it's not imminent stop blooming advertising it!!!!!

< takes a few deep breaths.

Somewhere out there someone neeeeeeds you!
I don't know how or where but b'lieve me...
He walked the universe to find you
For better or for worse beside you
A stranger walked into our world
And when he talked we truly heard
He spoke of things like love and peace
The joy they bring will never cease
The truth of love will always guide them
The strength above will be inside them
Forevermore they'll be the better
His might is so more than some other's
For the honor of love! By the power above!
He has the power, He has the Power ---
So can you......

All the world is waiting for you
And the power you possess
In your satin tights
Fighting for your rights
And the old red, white and blue.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way--because I truly mean this as a compliment--but you frequently put me in mind of Ogden Nash.

Actually I do take that as a compliment. I'm a big Ogden Nash fan.

But the short poem you quoted isn't one of mine. It's the first verse of the Wonder Woman theme tune.

EDIT : Enjoy the full joy of this theme on YouTube.

Sounds like a nasty case of erectile dysfunction. The folks at Pfizer might be able to help.

Brownie points if you figure out what the song I edited a bit was originally.

Captain Planet?

Who I understand is a hero that's gonna take pollution down to zero what with him being our powers magnified and fighting on the planet's side.

Nooo! It's the theme song of the He-Man and She-Ra "Secret of the Sword" (also know as several of the first episodes of "She-Ra"). It's called I Have the Power.

(And no, they're not a couple. They're siblings, *TWINS* to be exact, after all. )

(Also, I find the voice of the Sorceress is absolutely annoying in English. o_O )

I think edited it really makes a nice ballad glorifying the moderators.

I don't think we should be encouraging any of this. Why don't you all clear out of the Thread™ and leave it to die in peace?

The Thread™ is home to some rare and endangered wildlife, thus cannot be cleared out, by order of the Environment Agency.
