Bizarrely this post is solely to check I'm actually connected properly and this isn't a cached page. (Work network connection issues)
EDIT : Woot it appeared. Bugger that means the issue I just had queried is more serious that I thought.

I managed to forget that apples come in different varieties.
My mind just said to me "green round things, already in a bag, how convenient, get those!" so I did. I ate one today and it tasted funny, so I glanced down at the bag and went "wait a minute, I don't eat Granny Smiths!"

Perhaps you're limiting your scope of mind by not wanting to experience other apple varieties.

I'm partial to a Golden Delicious, peeled, cored, and served in quarters.

I'm more into tropical fruits rather than apples. Apples and my stomach don't go along very well.

I generally eat whatever the trees in our garden have ripe at the time. And what isn't too small or malformed.
The reason why I never know for sure what type of apple it *is* I am eating from our apple trees (apart from Granny Smith, which are easy to spot), is because my mother used to do grafting on the trees a lot. So with four or five (it's hard to tell from memory. They stand relatively close together, so the branches overlap so you don't see how many there are on first sight. It might actually be 6 ot 7 trees, now that I think about it.) there's lots of different apple types to choose from. -

My googling skills can't find me any information on an apple called "Botkyrka".
