It's a no-brainer, yeah.

Oh, I come from a land, from a faraway place,
Where the caravan camels roam,
Where they cut off your ear if they don't like your face;
It's barbaric, but hey, it's home!

I hope it's the one where they leave in the "good teenagers, take of your clothes" line!

I always thought the censoring of those lyrics was silly. I mean, it's pretty harmless compared to the German lyrics:

Komm mit mir in ein Land, ein exotischer Fleck
Wo Kamele durch die Wüste ziehen
Du riskierst deinen Kopf
Und sofort ist er weg
Tja, vergiss es, dann platzt der Termin

Translated the third and fourth line read "You risk your head, and it's gone in the blink of an eye" (with the last line reading "Well, tough luck. You'll miss *that* appointment.".

And I doubt anyone here in Germany ever considered filing a complaint about it.

Yeah, heh, we'll be prepared... for what?
For the death of the king!
Why? Is he sick?
No, fool; we're going to kill him! And Simba too.
Great idea! Who needs a king? No king, no king, lalalalalala!
Idiots! There WILL be a king!
Hey, but you said, uh...
I will be king! Stick with me and you'll never go hungry again!
Yay! All right! Long live the king! Long live the king! Long live the king!

Contrary to popular belief, this is not actually sung by Jeremy Irons...

...though I prefer to belief it anyway.

Oh, I'm going to a better land, they binge there every night.
The cocktails grow on bushes, so everyone stays tight.
They've torn up all the calendars, they've busted all the clocks.
And little drops of whiskey come trickling down ther rocks!

We come from the land of the ice and snow,
from the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods
Will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying:
Valhalla, I am coming!

The pilot breathed these last few gasps before he passed away.
"I'll tell you how it happened, my flippers didn't stay.
The motor wouldn't hit at all, the struts were far too few.
A shot went through the petrol tank and let it all leak through."

Unless I'm mistaken, that bit of the song is sung by Jeremy Irons. I know that he didn't sing the end of the song (after "You won't get a sniff without me!"), but I thought he sung the earlier bits...

That's what Wikipeida says, Robert, so it MUST be true!

Of course, Jeremy Irons used to play the guitar and sing on Playschool

Ah, but I gave the word a third "l". That is an honour, Uncle step!

I just listened to the song, and you're right. Up to "You won't get a sniff without me", it seems to be Jeremy Irons indeed. I knew Scar had another singing voice actor than Jeremy Irons, but I never closely listened to where his voice acting ended, and the other guy's started.

As far as I recall, it says so in the credits, silly. (yes, there are people who read the credits)

Though, if he can sing, why didn't he sing that part himself?
