Yeah, I do. I've read very mixed reviews of these cooler things, though. Not to mention that these problems have been a recent development, which implies to me that something has gone wrong inside my computer.

Don't anyone dare go over to the Dark Side, you hear me! Or you will have to deal with me! Now go back to reciting you mantra! There is no emotion; there is peace. There is no ignorance; there is knowledge. There is no passion; there is serenity. There is no chaos; there is harmony. There is no death; there is the Force. (Seriously, I know that one by heart.) It's good that I just came back from saving the galaxy (not this one. One far, far away.) from the Sith. Like I said, I just returned from saving the Galaxy and the Republic, and am now holding my (well, not really I, but rather my character Unau Kalhai and her rugged beau Carth Onasi are holding their) honeymoon on Kashyyk, with a small detour to Telos. They're trying to enjoy themselves until everything is pulled out of it's foundations again in the second game, you see. I'm afraid we already had a thread about Pie vs. Pancakes. I don't think we're ready for a Pancakes vs. Waffles thread yet. By the way, I'm still waiting for my pie from the "Pie for Jaz" fund to arrive! Quote:

I'm preparing an attack on this Thread with my trusty homicidal robot HK-47. I'm hiding out on a planet that doesn't really have a name, but the most polite computer I've ever met. That computer is also more understanding and tolerant than other people I've met on my many travels, and you can hold a very pleasant and educated conversation with him for hours. HK-47 asks me to tell you that the Meatbags (that's you guys) should fear him. I'm only half Bavarian, and I don't like beer. Or most alcohol, actually. Quote:

I was playing "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic", silly. You should play it too, if you haven't done so yet. It's one of the best and greatest RPGs since Baldur's Gate, and additionally to that, it reminded me why I always wanted to be a Jedi, and still want to be one. I want to be a Jedi now, dammnit! -

Pssh. The Sith are awesomer than the Jedi.
That said, I ended up with the Jedi ending to the game. How did that happen? #%&@ dialogue choices!

This is the way of the Dark Side: It all leads to Death. In other news, it was hilarious to infiltrate the Sith Academy on Korriban and slowly but surely turn all their students *AND* the ghost of an ancient Sith master to the Light Side. Also, who else was wondering how Darth Malak managed to eat? I mean, he was able to take his metal jaw off, but he only managed to speak by an implant behind it, and I couldn't spot the entrance to his esophagus. Darth Revan must have been majorly pissed off to do that to him. Then again, Revan might actually just have been bored, being a Sith and all. -

Do what? Turn their students to the Light Side, or turn the Ghost to the Light Side?
Well, obviously I didn't turn *all* of them to the light side, but a fair share of them. Seriously, some of them had some rather romantic ideas of the Dark Side which I simply had to correct. One of them I even met again on Dantooine later. And many of those especially in the valley of the Sith Lords were not really Dark Jedi, but only Sith - as in working for the Sith government. But in any case, you should by now know that my standard Plan B is "Democracy and Persuasion" (standard Plan A is "Set fire to it/them.". But I usually resert to Plan B just because I know setting fire to things I like leaves me with less things I like.). With a little practice, that works very well. I finished the game with a perfect light side score. I only once gained a Dark Side point, when I killed that Benden Starkiller guy in the arena. I thought killing him in the arena was actually more fair than killing him in the Cantina. There was a legitimate bounty on his head by the government, so that's why I even went to kill him. All the people who had bounties on their heads due to Davik, I managed to help get away without killing them. Much fun! Keck, I was closer to the light side than Bastila even before becoming a Jedi. Even Carth and Mission were closer to the Light Side than Bastila! Oh, and I think Jolee Bindo was an awesome character. As for the Ghost...Ajunta Pall is the one I am talking about. -

I'm going to play that game again and try that.
But I'm going for the Sith ending, as I'd rather not kill Bastila. Heh. Romantic idea, as it were, the two Sith lovers riding off into the, erm... solar eclipse or something.

By the way, if anyone wonder's why I like MK-47 so much, listen to a sample of some of the other companions (namely Carth and Bastila).

Umm...I didn't kill Bastila either. I turned her back to the Light Side. Seriously, did you spend no points at all into "Persuade"? Seriously, guys have much more options with the romance. While Bastila can survive both Light and Dark Side ending, Carth *always* gets killed in the Dark Side ending romance, as far as I know. -

Persuade is a bit pointless once you have Jedi Mind Trick, isn't it?
(It's been a while since I played the game, mind you, and I remember spending a fair few points on Persuade.) |

It's "Affect Mind" and "Dominate Mind", and I never got it, despite playing a Jedi Consular, starting out with a Scoundrel. I used only my persuade skill, and that was enough. Still, sometimes I wished that "Force Choke and "Kill" (and of course "Wound") were not Dark Side powers. Oh, but "Destroy Droid" is extremely helpful! Not only does it cost practically no force for me, since it was a light side power, but it makes battle droids a joke, even if they have a force field. -
