But what if the Threadâ„¢ IS about me. Would that mean I'm vain or just incredibly perspicacious?

I tried to hide from your love light,
but like heaven above me, the spy who loved me, is keeping all my secrets safe toooonight! (Is it worrying that I typed that from memory?)

Excellent, I appreciate my penchant for remembering the trivial.

Perfect by nature
Icons of self indulgence Just what we all need More lies about a world that Never was and never will be Have you no shame? Don't you see me? Somehow you've got everybody fooled. My wife is the one who can't remember lyrics (ironic, given she's a chorister)

More like pickled liver, seeing as how you pick up a pint or two after work when you can, or so you've said.

I must say I'm shocked. I've never before encountered an American who recognises the pint as a measure.
That is something that baffles me, you refuse to switch to Metric, yet won't use Imperial correctly either.

I wouldn't use Metric, but the word "pint" seems to be a descriptive term for glass of beer (or ale) that every man, women, or child on the Little Island recognise.

Well, you're a scientist, it's a requirement. Thank god for S.I. units!
See, you fail again. A pint is an Imperial unit, and we most often use it for milk, with glasses of lager coming a close second.

Space Marine? Is that some sort of Warhammer 40K reference?
You need to go back to playing Robinson Crusoe, and performing bodily functions in a freezer bag.

Heh, that's nothing. I can write down or recite the entire Audio Drama that came with "Loom" from Memory, with the exact words. It's a nice little side effect of my first mp3 player having the glorious amount of 30 MB (!) disc space. (I know, I know. It sucked. And to top it off, the program needed to put songs on it was also a bitch to get to run properly. ) I was only able to put about 20 songs on it (if I was lucky), and if I put the Audio Drama on it too, that took away quite a bit of the disc space, as it's a huge file. Obviously, it only took so long until the playlist repeated itself (there was no shuffle function or anything. There was a play button, and a button to move forward or backward in the list.), so over the course of one day I knew the entire playlist by heart, in exactly the order it had played. Including the Audio Drama. Whenever I am bored and have nothing else to do and can't think of anything better, I take a pen and paper, and start writing down the Audio Drama. I really know it word for word (and I know exactly how it all is paced and pronounced in the Audio Drama, too, but that's hard to put to paper). -

Wow, I've never played Loom, so I know not of the audio drama.
I can, however, relate to the scribing of lyrics when bored. Once in a Spanish class I wrote down the complete lyrics to Shirley Bassey's Goldfinger due to intense ennui. I've always been good with the James Bond themes.

When I first played Loom, I also didn't know about the Audio Drama. It was only years later that I found it. It serves as an introduction to the game, and without it, the beginning of the game seems a bit abrupt. Too bad that they only shipped it with the first few editions of the game. But these days you can legally download it from here (click "Loom" on the left, and you'll find it.). You can listen to it without having actually played Loom, because as I said, it is the introduction to the game, but it's also a beautiful story in itself. -
