I was just terrorised by a huge spider. Luckily I managed to capture and flush the bastard.
I am still feeling a little traumatised though.

Would that count as animal (or arachnid) cruelty?

When arachnid flushing is outlawed, only outlaws will flush arachnids!

If the spider is too big, I just can't crush it. I have vacuumed them up. I only flush them if they're small and I've squished them. The bigguns, I scoop up (carefully) in a bag and dump outside.
I remember a story a friend of mine told. She and her boyfriend had just moved into his parents house (his parents didn't live there anymore). They were sleeping and heard a rustling. They thought it was a mouse so they turned on the light to see if they could catch it and throw it outside. They were looking around and heard the noise again. They finally looked up and saw one of the big ass wolf spiders. Aysha made her boyfriend scoop it up and throw it outside. |

I think I read your diary once. Robert Pooter isn't it?

You're all mad. Spiders are horrible things.
Mind you, I still can't bring myself to kill them. Usually. |

I put a cup over them, then slide a sheet of paper under the cup to trap it, and dump the disgusting creature in the loo where it gets flushed away.
I have issues with crushing them. I don't want spider goo on my carpet, or an errant limb left lying around. They have to die in one piece.

I throw them out the window (this is not cruelly letting them fall to their deaths as spiders are light enough to survive falling from great heights)

The only thing that it is acceptable to kill is this Thread™. And, even then, I'm the only one that's allowed to do it.

I still savor my greatest success in this thread - the part when I incorporated song lyrics with the posts.
And then someone got fooled that in my local grocery shop everybody was kung-fu fighting. Oh, those were the days. |
