What is the world coming to? The BBC has devoted an hour long programme to the word cunt.

I'm not sure that this is really the best way for my licence fee to be spent.

That is faintly disturbing.

It's BBC Three with its "Look at me, I'm trying to be edgy and attract a young audience" attitude.

True. That channel did give us Help! My Dog's as fat as me, though, so it's not all bad.

Hehe, I've not seen that, but it sounds amusing.

It's amusingly bad. Take a lot of fat people and their overweight dogs. Set dog and owner a combined weight loss target. Take the two or three that lose the least and make them take a challenge that blatantly favours one breed of dog over another.

Add in an outrageously camp host who spends his entire time petting a little dog that he carries around (and that tries to run away whenever he lets go of it), and you have a recipe for terrible, and yet strangely watchable, television.

And I thought some of the shows we get on German television were bad.

From your description, that can only be Julian Bennett. I find the man grates on me after a while, he's just so affected.

If I ever see the show on, I'll be sure to watch it. It sounds jam packed with people I can enjoy laughing at.

A quick Google confirms that Mr Bennett is indeed the man.

You should watch it. But only to laugh at it, because it's a fundamentally flawed idea. After all, if you put a greyhound and a bulldog on a track and challenge them to do a timed lap, it's pretty easy to guess which one is about to bomb out of the competition.

These descriptions of television shows are almost enough to make me wish I lived over there. The darn censers won't let stuff like that on over here, naturally.

And, of course, it's a BBC programme. No advert breaks!

No, I just bought a box of fudge from Thorntons, and it's divine.

Can't be. Divinity is a whole 'nother deal than fudge.

What a wonderful world we live in. Out on UrbanDictionary.com, a search on the term 'Fudginess' brings up everything from "a sweet loving name for someone your (sic) fond of" to "The homosexual word for 'turd' or a handjob".

And here I thought that turds and handjobs were mutually exclusive.
