It's not an uncommon Halloween party game where I live. I guess maybe it's because apples are a "fall harvest" sort of fruit, and it counter-balances all the candy imbibing.

I actually had a lot of fun tonight. Totally unexpected, considering it was just a bunch of old friends getting together (though I thought it would be just the two of us at first). I never got to talk to some of them this way when we were at school, changed my perspective on those people quite a bit. Some tasty girls there I never considered tasty before.
