Default Weird...

Is Windows XP meant to automatically update the time when the clocks go back without telling you first? I'm very tired and confused....

Yes, I think so. I've never changed my computer's time and somehow it's always right.

thanks dustcropper. I feel much better now that I know my mobile time is also right and I won't get woken up an hour early!

And I'm glad you'll be able to sleep in.

Haha, yes. It is confusing isn't it?

Older versions of Windows used to bring up a message letting you know the clock had been automatically updated. The result was countless display boards in train stations and airports displaying that message until someone arrived in the morning to sort it out...

I forgot about the change until I'd got up and half-showered. I'm tired.

Well make sure all the soap is rinsed off otherwise you'll get itchy.

I'm experiencing trauma looking at that misspelled word.

You're looking nervous as a vibrator. My clocks went forward...

My computer is programmed to do great and wonderful things at 2am which was cruelly passed over so none of the cron scripts ran.

I think the Windows clock is auto-synched with the Microsoft server if you're connected to the net, so it doesn't have to ask you if you want your clocks updated anymore.

Extra hour in bed, ahhhhh!

I was about to reset all my clock when I noticed that my PC and Pocket PC are already updated...

Opps... I was half asleep when I posted that though, just needed to be certain and then rolled straight into bed. I too was used to older versions of windows letting you know the clocks had been changed.... And don't I normally spell things correctly?

I fixed the typo in the title. Everytime I glanced at it I could feel my brain hemorrhaging.
