Well, they had elastic in the waistband but nowhere else. Kind of like a double-barrelled windsock.
The boxer briefs that are elasticized all the way down don't seem to suffer the problem I described, but they're boxer briefs, not boxers.

Like previously mentioned, I feel there is nothing wrong with enjoying porn, as long as whatever is shown is between consenting adults (this obviously excludes kids and animals). There is a lot of ground there that hasn't been mentioned, however.

For starters - fetishes. There are all kinds - foot, latex, boots, coprophagia (look it up if you don't know - too disgusting for me - yuck!), golden showers. Then there is B&D, S&M, and hardcore Master/slave arrangements, FemDom, watersports (wider than you might think), and pain fetishists (pain sluts as they are sometimes called). There are those devoted to massive enemas.

While many of the things above seem extreme - they all have their devoted followers. Even if I wouldn't personally like these things, I can't see that there is anything wrong if someone else wants to do them. I think we need to lose the guilt we all possess to some degree about the use of porn. Porn can be a means to an end, or simple enjoyment. A lot seems to emphasize the "shame" and the Puritan notion that "sex is evil", to titillate the viewers. Sex is a healthy part of the adult world - enjoy it however you like!

Heh! Considering the sort of conversations I tend to have with my friends, both online and off, I can tell you that sex is one topic that geeks never have problems rambling about.
