I was so ready to shut this thread down.
Yeah, that's her. If I remember correctly, the other two women are wives of other people who worked for Sierra (then called On-Line Systems) at the time. Softporn is the text adventure from which Leisure Suit Larry was born. Check out that high tech computer in the background! |

I don't get it... do you want us to laugh at the idea, laugh at Roberta Williams nude, laugh at the cover or laugh at you for buying it?

It is offered solely for entertainment value. No other purpose is intended or implied by the manufacturer.
WTF?

Well, they were hardly going to put "This game is suitable for wankers" on it, were they?

I think they mentioned this on the Larry Laffer collection I have? They must have because I already knew this...

And isn't that Ken Williams serving the champagne?
I find the most disturbing element of the cover is that the butler is in the hot tub, fully dressed. Edit: Unless he's not wearing any pants. Now I find that to be the most disturbing element.

That's why I posted it in Chit chat! Quote:
I. HAVE. NOT. BOUGHT. THIS. "GAME." Yet. It's a really cheesy cover - great times, when video gaming was in its infants, wasn't it? . Everything was possible! It reminds me of how Atari hired its top employees during its heydays. Pools, girls and alcohol.. (I had once seen a doku about the history of video games).

This is why LA > Sierra
I don't see Tim Schafer or Ron Gilbert naked on the cover of one of their games

samIamsad: Didn't you get this thread idea from Vintage Sierra? I remeber reading a similar remark there. Do you go there often?

It's like looking at a plane crash, or walking in on your parents.
