I have to say, there's a disappointing lack of white picket fences too.

Oh, white picket fences do exist in America. They're just not as ubiquitous as you think.

But that pic he posted is very typical of many American suburbs - prefab tract homes that you can never tell apart (some better made than others), a severe lack of huge old trees (due to Phase 1 being completed just 3 years ago and Phase 2 and 3 still being worked on), immaculately steamrolled asphalt streets and driveways, and the most sickeningly manicured lawns you'll see anywhere (in some communities they're actually spraypainted green ).

Hmmm, am I weird for liking all that? Oh, except not spraypainted grass... Heh.

I was thinking it looked like American Beauty or Desperate Housewives.

Damn it! I missed my chance! I was going to say that before. That it was more American Beauty or Desperate Housewives style than say, Blue Velvet as squarejaw implied. Heh. Oh well, you beat me to it.

An approximate view from my office window of boring bustling downtown London, Ontario (the actual view is at a slight different angle.)

You really don't want to see the view from my bedroom window, and neither do I ... it's my neighbours' bathroom! (Now, if only I could've gotten a good look at my neighbours who lived on the other side! I'm such a perv. )

One view from the back bedroom of my house -

The 2 large structures you see in the background belong to Heysham Nuclear Power Station, which is about a 15 minute walk away

Oh well, at least I know the end will be quick if that place ever goes up

LOL! I'm sorry, but I found that really hilarious. That's kinda cool though. That would be a great way to go.

This was the view from my living room until the Baptist built a student center next door.
I've never like Baptists.

I'm moving this weekend after 14 years in the same apartment so I'll soon have a whole
fresh set of views out my windows!

How come? I know next to nothing about Baptists. Aren't they extremely tight-assed about gays and lesbians or something?
