Default Best drummer?

So I went to a Dream Theater concert last night, and I got 3 hours of pure delight.

Mike Portnoy, the drummer, is especially incredible, and owns a "best drummer" award from me.
But the thing is, I don't know that many drummers to being with...

What are your favorite/the ones you think are the best?

Without a doubt.

Neil Peart of Rush.

There's also Ginger Baker of Cream and Keith Moon of The Who.

Can I name two? Working together (sometimes)?

Paul Kodish and Cliff Hewitt. Cliff last but not at all least because of him having said "People who don't think drums are melodic instruments should be shot." Possibly paraphrased.

I saw them live, and those drum solos are excellent.

Listen to the drumming on the song Scentless Apprentice. The guy has power. Check it out.

For me he's a great drummer because i'm a big fan of Nirvana, and if you listen to anything pre ghrol, it just doesn't pack as much of a punch.

I think Vinnie Colaiuta is the greatest drummer ever, Dave Weckl is really good to.

Not too fixed-ly, but I know them from Apollo 440, whom they both have and are (unless I'm mistaken) still working with.

From a band no one has probably heard of (There are lyrics in the lyric thread and links to some of their songs in the Now Playing thread - dammit, go listen so I can convert you poor souls ).

Eddie Hartness from Eddie From Ohio.

Incredible drummer on both a traditional kit plus any other kind of drum there is (bongos, djemba, etc.). His hands just fly and his solos in concert and mesmerizing. After a concert, a friend of mine went up and told Eddie that she thought he probably gave a really good spanking! Needless to say, he was speechless.
