In Body Count's song Copkilla, Daryl Gates is mentioned. Perhaps they didn't like what he did with Police Quest? You know, turning it into the SWAT series? ;)

Err... more likely they don't like his role as the head of what they perceive to be a racist police force in LA. :shifty:

I always found it weird that the chief of LA police actually made PC games!

"Made" is sort of a generous term. Sierra basically paid for his name to be branded on the box and he served as something of a consultant and contributed some ideas to the overall story arc of PQ4. Tammy Dargan was really the one responsible for the game getting made. Gates' involvement was way, way overpublicized in the hopes of increasing sales.

Ice T's "Six in the Morning" was also written about Daryl Gates and the LAPD.
