My advice , turn this game into a 'parody'
Call it 'Chimp Island' Call the main character 'Guybroom Handle' anything. Yes you could make a fully working game with all the flashy buttons you like but If you contiue like this the effort you have put in wont get the recognition it deserves. 1.Because your stealing someone elses idea and artistic licence. 2.LucasArts will do their best to annyoy every website that agrees to host it and it will end up being an obscure file on Kaaza And 3. Monkey Island is a classic game and if your version fails to get close to the standard of graphix (awful 3D Guybrush btw), comedy and feel of the offical games, it will just become a joke and a waste of hard effort ( I know how years of game design can suddenly get .... deleted) In summation, Im not trying to be negative I just dont want to see such talent go to waste. Parody or Original Idea, Think about it |

I disagree, If you don't perade around the entire internet like KQ9 did, and yell ''Wayoo Im making a fan game with some one elses copyrights!!'' with majot neon signs. There are been many good fan games like TLC & SQ0 that have been popular but not waving it all around for VU to see for example.
My advice keep a low profile, and if you need a host, I can guarantee ya a safe one. :p (my own) |

Two more bits:
Get yourself a competent background artist. Attempting the Schafer style gives one a lot of design leeway, but the stuff you've got here is utterly gank on simple principles. Lousy perspective, poor angles, reeks of trying to cap off the CMI approach but fails to meet it even an eighth of the way. Compared to the guy or gal who turned out that beautifully inked pirate pic, it just looks like something mom would tack on the fridge. And yeah, that 'Brush model scares me. He looks like he needs to eat some ham and butter or something. |

I don't think that this Guybrush rendering is too bad. Only....it doesn't really look like Guybrush, and the shading in his face looks weird....

It's from a Saturday Night Live sketch with Christopher Walken, where he's a music producer and insists on "more cowbell."
You can find a .wmv and mp3's of the skit here: http://www.visualnoiz.com/multimedia...t-cowbell.html |

Hey, looks good. Too bad you guys speak spanish, or I would have considered joining you, instead of starting my own game. (RMI)
Then again... the more games, the more fun But keep up the good work, I wonder what your secret of MI will be... |
