MI fan art: oh MY!
Yesterday I again ran into World of Monkey Island (worldofmi.com), a site I used to frequent. I posted two fan pics there ages ago. They were the begining of my love afair with paintshop (an earlier version of it) You can observe my humble begginings @ http://www.worldofmi.com/features/fa....php?artist=11
If you browse through all of those fan art pages, you'll run into some incredible art, that made me wonder, what if these guys worked on an indie adventure game? Answer: it would kick major ass, thats what!! Namely this guy, Dan Lee, has some amazing art: http://www.worldofmi.com/features/fa...x.php?artist=3 I'd compliment more of the artists, but for some reason my dsl gets an insanely great slowdown when I browse through them. I'd encourage YOU to dig through the fan work though, there is definitely more gems to be found there.

Dan Lee (aka "Jayel" on these very forums! and many other web boards around here) totally rules. More of Dan Lee's work can be seen at the top of the Idle Thumbs forums, as well as the Monkey Island Posting Board over at the Scumm Bar.

Yep, Dan is the lead colorist on RotHS. Check out the website for some of his work:

aw you guys are too kind.
I don't know what to say. It's hard to think when my head doesn't fit into my room anymore. Let's not forget some of the more amazing artists of MI community such as Paco, Ado and others I can't remember at the moment. I have nothing but greatest respect and admiration for these guys. |
