Anyone played The Stanley Parable?
I searched AG + forums, didn't find any reference. Apparently, it's a Half-Life2 mod, which explains why I hadn't heard about it before because I don't play that type of game. But Dear Esther changed all that, I'm now on the lookout for novel, experimental indie games.
Played it last night. Amazing stuff. Takes about an hour. Half a dozen endings, depending on your choices. Highly recommended. Both funny and eery. I shouldn't say more. If you haven't played it, find out for yourself what's it about. |

Now I'm intrigued. I'll download TSP later and try it some time when it's not sunny.

I guess you need a Steam account for TSP. Or you could watch it on youtube.

Yeah I've played it a while ago. It's really unique. Definitely worth a playthrough. Unless you're one of those people who hated Dear Esther as well

They're both mods. They're both unique. They're both short. And I liked both.
But as far as content is concerned, they don't have much in common. IMO. |

I've only watched a YouTube video that contained all walkthroughs, since it's all about the story and the endings. Loved it to bits.
It also reminded me of Elevator: Source, which is another mod gem, albeit somewhat less focused ( video). Last edited by kuze; 04-02-2012 at 09:36 AM. |

I loved how it played with the difference between the player and the player's character, and between the narrator and the rest of the game. I don't want to say anymore, or I'll spoil it!
