Woo! It's about time. :D
I loved their version of KQ2. This is going to be great. |
Wow, is that Alex?! He looks so cute! I'm very interested!
|
Yep. You might have seen him already if you played QFG2VGA after 2008 and got to the Forbidden City part.

As in the last thing AGD Interactive will be putting out. No more remakes will be released after this one goes gold. With luck, it'll be stable enough not to require another build.

What about Himalaya? Can we still look forward to the Adventure/RPG you were working on?
|
Yup. There's currently still a game in development at Himalaya. (we made certain to cater more to our established audience this time...it'll be a fantasy adventure with a few RPG elements tossed in) But it'll be a commercial and original game from Himalaya, not a free remake from AGDI.

wooooo, cant wait to hear more about the new himalaya release. And i curse myself for still not having played al emmo ;(
|
No mention of this? http://www.infamous-adventures.com/kq3/
lol I was really confused about this when I swore it has already been done. Thankfully AGD is better off at making adventure remakes than IA. |

Wow! It looks amazing!
|
I'm confused. KQ3 had a remake done some years ago, right? Is this an update of that or a new remake?
|
Infamous Adventures remade King's Quest III in 2006, but their version was closer to a 1:1 remake of the Sierra original, while AGDI's remake is a continuation of the expanded King's Quest II: Romancing the Stones storyline from our previous KQ remake.
If it helps, you can think of AGDI's KQ2+ and KQ3 Redux as being one long game that's meant to be joined together. Redux carries over the unique elements of our writer, Daniel Stacey's, unique (non-canon) plot. As to why we started a KQ3 remake when one had already been made, we had already been working on our version for 2 years (albeit, in secret) when IA announced theirs, and we didn't want to throw away all the work. You can read more about the reasoning for this in Erpy's first post of the KQ3 Redux History thread on our KQ3 Redux forum here. |
Cool stuff, thanks. Yea, I've enjoyed the first two AGD King's Quest remakes very much and this new one sounds great as well.

I LOVED the KQ2 remake, it added so much to the game. I did also enjoy IA's KQ3 remake, but I really do like the sound of this.
Any chance Robby Benson will voice Gwydion? ;) |
It said on the site that in the 2nd and 3rd remake, they added some enhanced storylines. I have yet to play the 2nd remake, so what type of additions are we talking about? :)
|
Robby Benson isn't involved, unfortunately. Actually, we did contact him, but his agent didn't seem interested in facilitating a mutual agreement, so we went with another Hollywood (TV) actor instead.
The new actor did a good job at emulating Robby Benson's style without it sounding hammy and he's also more age-appropriate, so his voice matches up better with the age Gwydion actually is (17) in this particular game. |
