Thanks, for mentioning this. I'm really happy with the recent renewed interest in the game.

Just wanted to say I finished the game and really enjoyed myself. I think that, overall, it was a pretty darn good experience. I only had one or two little problems but overall it was great.

I thought that the light puzzle in Act 3 was a bit difficult. Not that the puzzle was a problem to SOLVE, it was just...the whole game itself didn't have a puzzle like that at all, so I actually wasn't expecting to think that hard ;p. I read a walkthrough because I honestly couldn't figure out what to do. It kinda felt like a "Myst" puzzle or something right in the middle of the adventure game. It wasn't terrible or anything, it just might be hard for people to figure out what to do. Still, great Act.

The only other thing was the ending! Not quite sure what happened ;p

Overall though, I found the humor to be quite good and the gameplay very solid.

Well done all around.

Thanks, Cactusgod. It's great you enjoyed Snakes in all its aspects.

As for the "lights" puzzle in Act 3, while it may seem a bit Myst-like (and indeed we wanted to have a different kind of puzzle in there), we were actually inspired by the trademark map puzzles from the Monkey Island series.

MI1 already had 2 of those I think, and Tales of Monkey Island perhaps even over 2 dozens in total.

Anyone who liked this game and think it deserves an award, you have a very short amount of time to vote for it on IndieDB.

Thanks for anyone who voted. In the end Snakes didn't manage to get among the 100 nominees, but no other traditional adventure game got there either.

Among games that may classify as proper adventure games are Adam Venture Episode 1 and Amnesia. You can follow (and participate in) the 2nd phase of the competition here:

A new review appeared in the midst of a Zombie Apocalypse.

Also, Snakes got on the DVD of the newest (x-mas) issue of PC Gamer UK.

A new interview appeared on The AGS Blog run by Andrew MacCormack - famous AdventureGamers.com writer (but it's someone who goes by the name Dualnames that conducted it!):
