Not a game designer but come across something you think deserves attention? Let us know about it here. A name and a link is fine but if you can provide more information (as well as why you think it worthy of note) then that would be great.

The most obvious choice right now is the newly released The Journey Down.
Let the superb images draw you in, because the actual game matches those graphics' high standards. |
Gretel and Hansel point & click adventure - in a style more filled with macabre than a Tim Burton film...
What can I say, It's a really amazing series, and the 2nd episode emerged 2 weeks ago: http://jayisgames.com/games/gretel-and-hansel-2/ |
Thanks for that. I remember seeing the first episode come out some time ago. Nice look.

Technobabylon - a really cool one-room (+virtual reality) cyberpunk, sci-fi game that reminds me a lot of Beneath a Steel Sky.

Checking this one out for the October releases.
I never cease to be amazed at what can be achieved in the one room format. It doesn't half make getting a variety of screenshots tricky though. :) |
White Chamber
One freeware adventure I remember enjoying was The White Chamber. It's not perfect, but I thought it had a good short story. Note that it is definitely not for kids, as it is very gory in some scenes. http://www.studiotrophis.com/site/downloads

I wrote a blog post about a bunch of free adventure games that I wanted to recommend if anyone is interested (this topic seems fairly quiet...) http://drunkdetective.blogspot.com/2...urce=BP_recent
Should I list them here instead? (bit of a newbie poster) |
Just saw this game today on AGS forums.UNGA Needs MUMBA I downloaded it and so far its really really neat. The graphics/art I adore , the characters are cool, it has a nice sense or humor.A nice puzzle right in the beginning that looked unique and different.
The creator worked on this for 4 years. http://www.bigbluecup.com/yabb/index.php?topic=45666.0 |
4 years work is definitely worth looking at.
