You sure about that? I'm talking about the supereagle graphics mode. I've also seen something similar done for old Sierra titles, like Kings Quest 1 but I've yet to get around to trying those ScummVM-like engines.

And like I said, most Indie stuff isn't that ugly to me, but it is a little more sprite based than what today's gamer is used to. Heck, with supereagle engaged, even The Secret to Monkey Island almost looks cartoony. A lot of the indie titles could really improve their graphics if they only could impliment this one feature.

Have to say the hidden sun game in production looks very nice. I will have to watch for updates on when this game comes out. If the story is as good as the graphics then I would pay money to play it.

I have not played any of the independant games out but if Darkfall was one of those then I really liked it and may have to look at some more of these games.

Hmm... haven't even heard about that. I'll let you have the benefit of a doubt, though, and assume you're right.

That looks interesting! Reminds me a bit of the DIG.

I'm still moaning the loss of the udderless cow, though

That's purty! Really great style. Just figured out what it was reminding me of, an artist by the name of Matt Rhodes, who has a somewhat similar style.

Thanks for the update. Those look like flesh-eating plants in a cave. Interesting and mysterious.

I suppose that's the "underground" part of the title.

Spoiler:
The Dig is crap!

Funny you should mention him: while I was scouting the web for some source material on how to create glowing auras for something in another room, I stumbled upon his website.

*grins* Small world, or at least the internet makes it seem that way.

I've been following his work for several years now. The sort of style that you have in your pictures and that he has is probably my favourite, and I am very jealous of your talent. :-P

Myst is the crappiest game ever made.

And I've never even played it.

Spoiler:
Loom wasn't that bad.

Now that chapter11studios got him, the rest of us don't have a chance. They've got benefits you don't even know could possibly exist.
