Brand New Free Game Announcement!!!

Hello,

Forgive my lack of proper gaming site etiquette (I don't generally have time to post to websites). I have completed making a full, near commercial level adventure game........."Tail End Charlie".

You are psychically drawn into the last few moments of a WWII bomber pilot veteran's life. He enlists you to help him collect his memories of his beloved crewmen, so he can complete his "mission".

I wrote a complete walkthrough to accompany the game. It is 479mb and full of puzzles. Some puzzles are very complicated (but totally logical !!), and most puzzles are pretty modest in difficulty.

It uses all original photos and lots of photoshopped objects, items, etc.

If you have played any of the "Carol Reed" games (East Side Story, Time Stands Still, Remedy)......then you are familiar with the style that I employed. It is first person, and uses Wintermute.

Please play my game and enjoy it. I just fell in love with adventure games about two years ago, then decided to devote myself to making a complete game, myself. I went from knowing absolutely nothing at all whatsoever about programming/design to successfully finishing a full game.

Trust me, if I could do it (I am a mailman by profession), then ANYONE could make a good game.

Thank you very much for maintaining a wonderful website.

Thanks again everyone and I'm very glad this site allows a neophyte to share his game with everyone who loves adventures!

Terence:)

I am playing this game and stuck:

Spoiler:
1) Right after we enter main lobby, forward once and go back to door we entered (however, dont use the door) instead click left
We find a note explaining how to get apartment key by allowing user to perform

It tells we can find a device on wicket chair
If we take closer look at item (1) on note, this seems to provide some braid number

2) find where 2nd hand freezed on clock
3) number of red apples

multiply 1 x 2 x 3
end of note

When entering lounge, go forward, turn back near where we entered and turn right (find this device on one of chair)

To speed up this post:
So far I know the followings:

- item (1) on note seems to represent 103
- item (2) on note is 4 or 20 (by looking at clock we can tell)
- item (3) on note is 2 according amount of red apples in some bowl find in this room

But how use device from stool is where I'm stuck.

we also find a mallet on fireplace.

This game needs improvements

fuzzymachinery,

Is the note I've found is red herring?

I am replaying your game using your walkthrough and I'm extermely stck with finding appartment number and key base on note I've found.

So far I know the following:

Spoiler:
103 appartment number

Question: Which second hand on clock that note tells about?

two red apples

Note tell calculate 1 x 2 x 3

Now can you explain in more detail and how properly using calculator found in stool?

Hints for apartment puzzles......

Splat44,

Thanks for playing my game!

The apartment is where you live. On the bulletin board (through lobby doors / on right wall) is a note that tells you to solve 3 puzzles. The answer to each puzzle is a number. You have to multiply the 3 numbers to get the "key keeper" code. The note tells you where to find the key keeper.

The first puzzle: Look all around for something that looks like that description (dot, space, etc.)

The second puzzle: What has a second hand on it?

The third puzzle: Look for the fruit bowl!

*Remember, you can right click to examine inventory items*

FuzzyMachinery,

Ok,

Let's see if I understood:

Ok, I seems to know all three numbers

Spoiler:
1) 103
2) clock (4 or 20) hand that lands or minute or 46 (hand that lands on seconds)
3) 2 red apples

If note tell to multiply by those numbers found, then we get the following results:

1) 103
x4
x2
= 824

2) 103
x20(using clock minutes)
x2
=4120

3 103
x46
x2
=9476

Therefore, by entering one of those results on device found on stool seem wrong!

Anything else I'm missing?

Key keeper.....

To get the key from the key keeper...........

Just multiply [the first answer] x [the second answer] x [the third answer].

Hint: It adds up to a 4-digit number. The key keeper has a reset button (by the way).

The walkthrough for the game is found at the end of the manual (included in game files).

Hope that helps!

Thanks,

FuzzyMachinery

The graphics in your game are excellent. I'm downloading your game as we speak. I'll give it a try when I have some time. Looks great. Thank you for the freebie. Keep up the good work :)

Ms. StarLight

Thank you very much for playing my game! I have played a hundred great games and wanted to make a really good puzzler. It takes a little while to build momentum, but if you are stuck..........just look at the manual/walkthrough (in game files folder). Think logically, LOOK AT EVERYTHING, and take notes so you can remember what you saw.

Enjoy!

Most of these photos are generally well-composited, but that hat on top of the memorial looks really silly.
