Funny timing. Just 4 days ago i changed some emails with mr. John Green. I copy paste excerptions from my questions and his email (there was no agreement to keep this inf private, so its ok if u get this):

lew: "How far is the development? Any ideas when the release may occur? Do you want to makeit commercial or freeware?"

JG: "The game is about 70% finished (minus sound and music), but the current engine it runs on is buggy and out of date. Efforts are being made to turn it into an iOS title, but have only just begun, so it's impossible at this moment to give any details about progress or release date. It would likely be a commercial release but nothing is definite right now."
