Looking for voice actors?
I'd like to offer my services
If you're trying to push your game that little bit further in its production and quality and struggling to find people to voice for it, I have voice acted for an underground game; Brass-tacks from http://btl.50webs.org/ The game is still in Beta testing stage as there hasnt been any progress for about two years now.. but I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it. I am British, but I am also half american and can do either accent, I can do various other accents also.. oh.. and Im female.. haha. So my services are here (for free.) Anybody else like to post up? Feel free to! I'd like this thread to become a kind of recruitment drive maybe, for aspiring voice actors. If you'd like, we could list on this post who's who and their details; * Aislinn Toye - Female - Eighteen - British/American Like so..? If you would like to use me in your productions, just post up or send me a message, I'd be more than happy to respond.

Sounds excellent and I may hope to put something together in the future so I will keep you in mind! (sadly how far that is in the future is vague at the moment)
I graduate in two weeks with a Master of Arts Degree in Media and Film degree, and I hope to become a Journalist and screenwriter. I recently did some english voices for Broken Sword 2.5 and loved it so I think if I ever do get around to doing some of the game projects I have in mind, full voicework would be not only a foregone conclusion, but a hell of a lot of fun. Martin - 21 male - england - british (i have a specific accent that I got rid of for broken sword 2.5, and I also voiced a character twice my age.) |

Brilliant! Looks like us Brits are taking the lead at the moment, it would be really interesting to see someone from a different country.. I know there are a few argentinian and puerto rican users on here.. hehehe.. in fact beware were run by portugese mainly I think.. I dont remember it was such a long time ago!!
The reason I remembered to put this up was because Im playing BJ7, the first in the series to have voice acting and I was just like "!!!"

Hi. <--- 'nother brit, here.
I'm a Welshy with no VO experience but I've always wanted to break into the field. My American accent sucks but I do an excellent Borat (or so people tell me) I've been trying to find something online with advice on how to get into voice acting, but I haven't really found anything that seems too helpful so far. But my aspirations as a voice actor might be over before beginning as my voice feels like it's breaking for a second time (is that actually possible?); it's going all squeaky at random moments... it can be embarrassing, especially when I'm trying to sing. While I might be slated for this, maybe you can have a word with Jonathan Boakes as the terrible voice acting in The Lost Crown destroyed whatever atmosphere the game may have had for me.

Tromgottist sent me a link to the ' Voice Acting Alliance' (I suspect he linked it to everybody who posted here) looking for voice talent for a game of his. It's actually been over 3 weeks since he did and I haven't got around to checking it out properly (I'm a really busy person) so I can't honestly vouch for how good it is.
I expected to have gotten around to checking it out, by now. I guess tonight is the night |

How exactly do you go about being a voice actor? Do you have to have a program and microphone attached to your computer?

A friend took me around the place when nobody was there, once, and I ripped off all of their decent CDs to MP3 form. (I was done very quickly, their good stuff consisted of about 3 albums and I only remember what one of them was). A lot of their equipment looked pretty antiquated, though, and I'm not sure if I'd be able to come away with a digital recording or just a tape. |

The Trader of Stories - voice actors needed
Hi
I'm working on a oldschool adventure game entitled "The Trader of Stories" (some information about the game and a olayable demo is avalible on my webblog: http://traderofstories.blogspot.com/). I would very much like to have some voice acting in the game but I cannot do it alone. I cannot suport You with nothing more then my gratitude, a place in the credits and final game when it's ready. If it's OK with you - write me a massage. For the time being I need voices of: - Myosotis (the main character, lots of speaking) - female, age about 35; - Neesan - female, age about 45; - Coni - female, age about 12; - Wiseman, male, age about... well it should sound old. The design of each character can be found on my webblog. Marek Rudowski |

*Pulls this back up* I know you posted these a while ago guys, so let me know if you are still interested, I can hand you my email, so that I dont dissappear again.
Rudowski- I would be willing to help with any of the female characters, I've never really tried a child before.. but I expect I could.. Grundislav- If you are still looking for someone... I would be ECSTATIC, to be in one of your games. Honestly, it would be an honour. ^_^ D Zorg- is this for a game.. or an actual radio station? I expect I probably could but, I'm really offering character voices..

There's no other genre other than adventures, for which people would actually volunteer, money-free, to do the voice-overs. You guys are amazing. Atlantis, you are my idol, and my only regret in life is that I am not currently working on an adventure project so I could hire you. Enthusiasts such as yourself are the ones who keep the spirit of adventuring alive. If I were a native speaker, I would volunteer myself.
Keep those flames burning, people. |
