Why can't I find the KQ1 and KQ2 VGA remakes anywhere?
Does anyone know why I can't find the KQ1 and KQ2 VGA remakes anywhere online? I'd like to download and play, but they seem to be gone...

The games have been intentionally taken down to be slightly updated (like changing the title screen from Tierra to AGDi). They'll be up again soon.

I was looking for them yesterday too. The AGDi website is just promoting QfG2 at the moment. Not that that's a bad game or anything but still...

I haven't tried it yet, but I think you can download the remake for King's Quest here and King's Quest II here.

We have no public release date to give out, but for KQ1VGA 4.0, we have an internal date set at which the game is meant to be made available. It's very soon. I can't really give out details, but please take my word for it that the most recent build is definitely worth waiting for compared to an earlier build from a 3rd party site.

I think you'll find you can't (at least, only Infamous Adventures' KQ3 is available, which isn't the problem).

KQ1VGA 4.0 has just been released and is available from the AGD Interactive site at www.agdinteractive.com .
This latest version contains a non-mandatory option to guard the player against "dead end/walking dead"-situations, runs on a version of the engine more compatible with modern operating systems, has a completely new narrator audio track by professional voice actor John Bell and has completely revamped in-game art. All in all, a massive improvement over the previous version that was still floating around the net here and there. |
