Ive been a big fan of the Journeyman Project series ever since I played Turbo which came with my Packard Bell sometime in 1995 give or take. I've later played all four games (including Pegasus Prime).
Being an big fan of the series, I checked up on wikipedia to see if anything new is going on with the series, let alone Presto Studios. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Jou...man_Chronicles I saw that a bunch of fans (Vigilant EC) are remaking the Journeyman series for next gen gaming. On January 12, they had a press release with a sneak peak at the concept work and the release of the feature list. Here are some highlights:
Anyone else here a fan of the series? PS: Sorry if this has been posted before. BTW, a good source of information (in case someone at all is interested in this barren thread) is in there forums. http://vigilantec.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=8 Last edited by Dale Baldwin; 02-17-2008 at 09:05 PM. Cool! Their site is back up!
I had links to their old site, but it went down. I didn't realize they were still working on it. Awesome news.

Thanks for posting this.
As a fan of the series since I first laid eyes on an Apple Performa, I've been cautiously optimistic about the Vigilant EC project since 2007ish. If you haven't already, check out the making of Buried in Time on Presto's archived site.

Awesome. Buried in Time has been my favorite game of the series, but seeing the intentions of this project, Turbo or Pegasus Dawn might be my new favorite game of the series.

I really sincerely doubt that this will ever be finished.

As far as I know, the project was (and probably still is) authorized by Presto Studios, as I know that Tommy Yune was at one point talking about it, and I think he's the one who currently maintains the Presto Studios site.

This sounds amazing!
I never played the Journeyman games so I can't say that I'm excited, but it would be cool for a uninitiated like me to experience them in a modern version! I should check out the old ones anyway. I definately hope that all goes well to you. |

I would like you guys to pick your favorite, also supply your post with suggestions/crits or if you think its perfect as it is. You can either post in the forum or you can post your answer here. All help is GREATLY appreciated. http://vigilantec.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=172 |

Awesome, I really like the first one. Has a very ornate look to it. Very nice.

Nice! I enjoyed the first Journeyman. I still have yet to play the other two (which I own but haven't gotten around to yet). Awesome stuff. Journeyman would be great with next-gen graphics.
