I found this link just 5 minutes ago on del.icio.us and it seems definitely worthwhile looking further into it

Thanks for the link. I tried out the #1 game, but kinda got stuck. The objects from your inventory don't change when over a hotspot, so I had no idea where to click the key to unlock the door...

I've played most of them and think that Samarost and the Submachine games are the most player friendly. MOTAS, Escape from Island, the Gateway series, and 3Wish series are pretty solid too. Oh and the Nick Bounty games are really fun crimesolving games. And the Detective Grimoire game is pretty true to an adventure game, it's more about talking to people to get clues than solving puzzles... but it's pretty easy.
