A first person sci-fi game to make...
It could be fun if someone decides to build upon this idea to a classic "loner" adventure with a rich environment and rumbling sound effects
You are with a team of scientists who travel back in time in a time machine doing research and looking to unsolve the mysteries about the origin of earthly life. You have travelled back to the time when Earth is still young. There are no oxygen, no signs of life, and meteorites come hurling down all day and all night making the hours noisy and dangerous. You and your team have set up a base, -a lab where you eat, sleep, examining findings and sustain your own lives. You wake up from having passed out. You feel slightly dizzy. No one answer your calls. You find out that a meteorite has struck the lab, and your team members have all died. Some have died from suffocation, others from the physical effects of the toxic gasses from outside, some from the direct hit. Have someone survived? Have someone actually managed to escape through the emergency hatch? You will eventually need to move outside. The space suit has some broken parts. Do you find survivors? Do you solve some mysteries about humanity or the beginning of biological life? Do you manage to fix the broken time machine and get your ass back to the now? Do you discover that humans are just seeds planted by beings from another planet who finally come to save you when things tighten up? Do you discover that YOU are the one who ignites life to the first bacteria and thereby is the father of it all? These are just a couple of many possible questions to answer

interesting premise
The premise is quite different and interesting. Have you thought about the puzzles? I can't think of any objects to use and/or manipulate beside the scientific equipment. Also the locations might be too limited, since you are basically confined to the safety of your lab.

You could fix the spacesuit to go outside. You could collect primordial soup & do experiments, or find rocks that contain certain ore that you need to fix things. Eventually, if you find an alien outpost, you can investigate that area as well (try and figure out sending a distress signal, for example).
