Default Underground Scenes of the Week - 14 May 2007

And the prize for oddest feature in an adventure game goes to... CAVERNS and its Freudian mode! Why doesn't every game have a setting where Sigmund Freud will make sexual innuendo of everything you do?

This is a must-play for a budding psychologist such as I.

Believe it or not, this screenshot comes from the first adventure game engine I've ever tried making a game in. We've really come a long way since then, now haven't we?

I'm stunned the site's still up after all these years. And on GeoCities, no less!

A lot of Underground adventure makers are motivated by nostalgia for the VGA glory days of LucasArts or Sierra. Shane 'ProgZmax' Stevens takes retro one step further. Case in point, this Commodore 64-style demo, which was posted for feedback last week. So here's your chance to influence the development of a game while it's still in production.
