Underground Scene of the Day - Friday 27 April 2007
As a last minute "casual Friday" post, I bring you this game, which was tragically abandoned just days short of completion. The only thing we have is a public beta, and after three years in limbo it's probably time to give up hope that a final version will ever be released. Well, OK. So the "beta" is essentially a finished, fully playable game. I still think it would have been nice if the couple of remaining bugs had been fixed, but it shouldn't stop anyone from trying out the non-action.

I've played that (and loved it!). I never realized it was a beta version. I'm sure I ran into some bugs but it's been so long since I last played it that I can't remember what they might have been.
That's interesting to know. |

It was sort of ambiguous, with the announcement along the lines of "I guess this is a beta, but I think it's done".
The game isn't particularly buggy (less so than many "real" releases), but the first impression can be a little dicey, because the UI differs from the LucasArts interface in some non-obvious and confusing ways, and because there are a few glitches (and one potentially game-crashing bug, if I remember correctly) in the first couple of rooms.

Yup. Nice atmosphere and premise, but I was pretty much walkthrough-dependent throughout.
