Default Sofia´s Debt - A new mini adventure game

Hello everybody!
Some years ago I made a small mini adventure game (it is really short) this was in Spanish. This year I wanted to make an English version (not translated by me, of course ) and how I am more prepared now, I decided to rebuild the graphics, change the engine for one better… it is more a remake than an English version.
I hope you play this mini game and tell me your sincere opinion, I really will appreciate this.

You can Download the game from here: http://www.justadventure.com/Indepen...ofiasDebt.shtm

Default Excellent

Very nicely done Santiago! Your art is excellent - I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the fact you could choose music on the stereo. You've created an atmospheric little adventure here. If this is any indication, a full scale game would be something I believe you could market. Congrats!

May I suggest putting up some screenshots of the game at your website? I think that'll increase the number of people downloading the game. Some of us need to be convinced that downloading and playing the game is worthwhile and screenshots are a good first indicator

But for now, Mr. King has convinced me to try it out

In fact, this game is too short, so maybe he didn't include screenshot.

Cleared all of them now! Really worth to try!

Hmm... As soon as I started the game, my computer crashed. I'm using Windows 2000. I'll try it again when I have some time, but at the moment I'm working on some stuff and I don't want to risk it.

Tom_K: I'm glad you enjoy my adventure!
Erwin_Br: I listen your words and changed with more info the game page (and a Screenshot; but like mrkwang said, the game is too short to show more)
remixor: I tested the game in few computers and in general works well if you have directX 8.1 or superior, but I founded problems with some S3 3D cards (the graphics looks bad and the game crashes), and why I don’t do the engine’s game, I can't fix that kind of problems, sorry!

Thanks for giving us a heads up about the game. We'll have a capsule review of it on our site shortly.

What engine did you use to make the game? And what was the game's release date? (adding the game to AG Underground's database, need to know these things )

I think it is the best engine for create adventure games

and the release date was: 3 February (2004)

I have a question about the ending.
Spoiler:
what was that destiny of hers? I mean, her 'debt' was only to give him baby? And that note sounded like the suiside note.

Spoiler:
Yes, hers destiny (and the debt) was to give the baby; but because they never gave it; this time, our protagonist (Ana) have to give her own baby; and we don’t know what happened to her. We know that she is prepared this time to PAY, with the baby and even with her life, to finish the family’s torment.

Howdy all,

Robert Lacey has written a nice capsule review for this game, if you're interested in checking that out.

/me blushes.

Sorry it's not wholly positive - it is well worth playing, though.

THANKS for the review! It is nice; the only thing I don’t understand is when you said that the plot of the game is "very haphazard"; may be because it is a translation; surely it is a story that you might read all and carefully, but if you do it well, the game is clear.
I only could enter to the review with the "SERCH" button in the underground section; there is other way to read it?

There should be an option below the search box called Browse The Games which should just give you a list of all the games...

Default Very Good Effort!

Very polished, definitely quality over quantity which I like to see. I loved the music and sound effects especially, the stereo player etc. It was a bit sparse what you had to interact with making it easy to see what you had to do, since it was the *only* thing you could do! Also if that's all to Sofia's apartment, where does she sleep. Reminds me of my own except I have a couch lol

Anyhow very good story, love the presentation. I hope you finish it, I'll be very much looking forward to your future work from now on

I've played this game a while ago, "immersive" is definatley the word that comes to mind. It was pretty tragic and creepy. Pretty good for a mini-game! Congratulations DREAMWEB I really enjoyed it!
