What Linus Bruckman Sees When His Eyes Are Closed
He never talks to me anymore. He never talks to anyone anymore. His eyes are always closed. I wonder what he sees... http://xiigames.com/images/dl.gif linus.rar (42.6 MB) or linus.zip (71.4 MB) http://www.xiigames.com/images/LB_story_big.png Features

Technical Recommendations This game uses a lot of animations and transparencies on the screen at once, and since the engine lacks real hardware acceleration, the game will get bogged down on slower computers. On a slow computer (say, less than 1.5GHz) animations will slow down and the sound will often skip. I've included an option in the game's option menu that turns off some of the uneccessary effects which can help performance. If this doesn't resolve the problem, I'm sorry. But remember: it's just a freeware game! |
Yes, this is a shameless bump. If you pay attention to Adventure Gamers Underground News, you'd have read that I see strange things when my eyes are closed.
I was delighted to see this news/mini-review on this site. If you haven't yet played the game, maybe it can help convince you! Please read and then play! And I'd love to hear your comments! |
Well, I've downloaded it, but I've been somewhat busy, so I haven't had a chance to play. But I definitely will soon!
|
Mind you, this is an excellent and extremely innovative adventure game, but it's quite on the tough side of things... Definitely worth the time you'll give it AND you'll be playing two games simultaneously...
|
Oh, and let me add, I've just (well, almost just) interrogated/interviewed Linus' talented creator here.

I'm having some real trouble with this game. I mean, I get that you need to swap the meals round so they're with the right customers, but the menu that's supposed to help you is so pixelated I just can't read it!
|
Did you change the settings to run in 320x240? That would seriously downgrade the graphics and would make most of the text unreadable. I haven't heard of anyone having trouble reading the menu.
When I get to my work computer tomorrow, I can post a high res version of the menu if you're still having issues. Thanks for playing! |
Looks like it was in 320x240 to begin with. I can read it fine now. Thanks.

Just played through the game today. I really enjoyed it. The "true" ending and the ending to the Japanese story gave me chills--creepy stuff. Nice work.
