Default Five Lethal Demons

Hello AdventureGamers:-)

as a diversion from the "serious" work of writing the sequel to our previous title Five magical amulets, we've written this smaller humorous game. It's a game development parody, which won't take you a long time to finish, but hopefully you'll have as much fun playing it as we had creating it.
And maybe, just maybe, you'll learn more about how Five magical amulets were born...

I've downloaded your game and I'm stuck already. Any hints forthcoming as to what the password is? I've tried several combinations on the pink list but to no avail. :-(

edit: figured it out. Went on to finish the game and had lots of fun doing so. Any date when Five Magic Amulets will be released?

lspace: Actually, Five magical amulets have already been released We're working on a sequel now

I'm glad you enjoyed our new game (and don't worry, everyone gets stuck on that password puzzle).

I must have been having a "senior moment" :-) as I knew Five Magic Amulets had been released because I have played it. I was probably thinking about the new game you are working on. Any time frame when it will be done.

How were able to figure out password?

So far I've found a list containing words with missing lettres

I am completely stuck with it.

Spoiler:
The programmer is none too bright so his password is more obvious than you might think. Think about what the programmer said. The password list is a nice red herring by the way

I know that programmer is saying "IMHO" but I fail to see the connection with password list.

Red herring is usually a fish.

Anything else?

Uhm, no, red herring is usually a metaphor, in this context a misleading clue

After trying several combinations on the pink list, I knew the answer didn't lie there. Talk to the programmer again and listen carefully to what he says. If you still don't get it, talk to him again, he will say the same thing. Keep talking to him ( he will always say the same thing) and I'm sure something will click in your brain. And remember he is not too smart so the password will be pretty easy.

Thank you, You were right about programmer not being smart.

I just finished the game.

Here what I've discovered:
1) don't kill mouse
2) game has 2 endings

Cheers

Actually, you CAN kill the mouse. If you do, the solution to the mouse hole puzzle is different. While the puzzle is still solvable it will help if you've played a game that was quite famous in the Czech Republic.

How do I know this? Check the credits again.

Yes, I've replayed the game and solved puzzle with dead mouse.

You've said:
If you played a game ...

Which game will that be?
After seeing credit, I see you took part of creating this game.
I like but the best game is indeed Five Magic Amulets.

Regards

7 days and 7 nights (Helga actually mentions it when you solve the puzzle with the dead mouse)

You'll have to ask the Czech developers about it though. (That's jnfsbi and Mnemonic that I know of on these forums.). My humble contribution solely related to proof-reading and beta testing the English language version.

Five Magical Amulets is a fantastic game. Did I mention my name is in the credits for that as well? (Same, tagging on to the end of a grand project contribution )

I love this game. I'm not sure at all how to solve the game when you kill the mouse, though. I've solved it without killing him, but I have no idea how to with him dead! And since there are no walkthroughs or hints out there, can someone tell me, please?

Shany is correct.

Spoiler:
Use the mouse on the power socket (to the left of the door) and it will become an electro magnet. Then use it on the mouse hole to retrieve the axe.

Incidentally, today is the birthday of Jan "Mnemonic" Nedoma, writer of the Wintermute engine (which is used in this and a number of other games) and one of the main staff on this project (he's the male half of the director's commentary)

Happy Birthday Mnemonic!!!

Wow, I didn't know he made the Wintermute engine! I've seen that used in a lot of independent games, and even, I think, some commerical ones! Wow! I also love the commentary on the game.

Thanks, Steve!

It's nice to see people are still playing this little game. There is actually a sequel in development (Helga Deep in Trouble), but unfortunately Olga doesn't have much time for game development these days, so the progress is very slow. But I'm sure the game will be finished one day

I'm wondering what's going on with Five Magical Amulets 2?
