I think BS4 might come out first.

If I'm going to be honest, I doubt BS2.5 will ever come out. They are aiming too high.

It may take long but the end product will be amazing.

Wormsie, I said in another thread that that wouldn't be an issue anymore.
Please don't provoke a flamewar that wouldn't start otherwise.

That goes for everybody else too.

I'm mildly interested in both games, and I'll definitely play them when they come out, but I wouldn't say I'm looking forward to them.

I just don't have much hope of seeing 2.5 any time soon, and I was sorely disappointed by The Smoking Mirror and The Sleeping Dragon to be excited about BS4.

??
What i meant is if their final output is to be competitive to a commercial version, they may wanna make some profits from it for the good job they've done (making it partially free partially shareware, i dont know??)

Now I see the point...

so this is the way fan games work? as long as no profit is made, it's legal to use their character / plot + distribute the fan game?

maybe it's just off-topic here...never mind

It works like that unless the holder of the copyright is mad and will not allow any fans to make a sequel/spinoff.

does that mean fan game is underground then?
they have every right to sue the fan game makers for using their game characters and stuff, in strictly speaking?
