Go, John, go.

Hey, how bout a race. My demo will be out on Sunday/Monday, so that I finally have something to show.

Then I can fully commit myself to a complete game. I decided to lenghten the first episode, and instead of 3, the first KB Adventure will come in 2 episodes.

Race ya for the full release =).

Great stuff, as ALWAYS.
Keep up the good work.

Ack! I'm going to bet you finish first. Though hopefully it'll be close.

Thanks for the update and for the development art. It's always nice to see the WIP versions of backgrounds. It's somewhat of a learning experience, too.

This is truly some good stuff. Superb art direction and a nice touch of dark humor. Really reminds me of some classic Lucasarts styled adventures, great job John!

Mmmm...no release news yet.

You could say it's 50% done.

But then one could say a lot of things...

Well, it's been less than a year since I started work on it.

Really? It seems longer. Perhaps not though.

Waiting is the hardest part...

Keep your momentum up, John. I can tell this one's gonna be worth it. Seriously one of my most anticipated games right now.

The longer it takes, the higher the expectations

(It's true)

As long as it lives up to the excellent demo, I'm a happy camper. The main things I liked about it were really the story and the approach to the puzzle design, so as long as you can keep those up, you'll be sitting pretty.

Has anything been done on the voice and music front? What are the chances we might see a more complete demo before long?

No progress has been made on sound. Right now I'm still doing artwork assets. Voices will probably be the last thing, as we want the script to be as final as possible before recording anything, reducing the chances of having to re-record things.

There might be a new version of the demo at some point since the LASSIE engine has changed, but it likely wouldn't be longer than the one already out. Some puzzles will change slightly, but overall they'll be in the same vein. I wouldn't want to release a demo of a different part as the one that's out represents about 1/6th of the story.
