It will be full 3d? With a 3d environment also, or only with 3d look?

Firstly, I would just like to address a common theme in this thread, the quality of this project is astounding. I've been keeping my eye on Kings Quest 9, throughout the months, and I've grown more and more impressed each time. All of your hard work, combined, looks stupendous on screen, and I am one very excited and happy Kings Quest fan. Can't wait for December.

Time to replay the originals, to get me back into the Daventarian frame of mind.

looking GRRRREAAAT! This is one fan project that's HIGH on my radar!

Unlike most fan games, the art direction on this production is consistent. That's what's pulling this title together! Great work.

I don't know if they have any kind of agreement with Vivendi, but I really hope the company doesn't swoop in and squash the game at the last minute.

Splat44 - this is a fan project, not commercial. And it appears from the trailer that it's in English.
Thank you fov,

I definately looking forward to the first coming hopefully this winter.

Some flowers were never meant to be smelled
Some marijuana was never meant to be smoked
Some umbrellas were never meant to be rained upon
Some dudes were never meant to get laid
Some spam was never meant to be sent

and so on and on. The "format" that most of the trailer is in is a bit tiresome. The game looks good though.

I actually liked that about the trailer. It's a little corny, but it evokes emotion. The whole "some stories were never meant to be told" has kind of a double meaning, what with the history of the KQ series and the fact that Sierra's never going to make another one (i.e., this is an untold story)... I think that's the part of the trailer that had the biggest impact on me, as a King's Quest fan.

Just as a little insight, each line has to do with each character They are just not random lines

we got that. I think it just comes across as movie trailer "cliche". I wasn't so hot on the trailer but LOVE the graphics and music! WOW!

Show us some gameplay!

Default GFX loog Great

And lets hope they capture the spirit of kq6 (My fave in the series) in the gameplay.

I REALLY dont like the music in the trailer though. Harmonic mistakes all over the place, it makes me sad and to be honest a little bitter as I've allways wanted to write music for an adventure game (I've managed feature films and a bunch of UK and Euro TV but never an adventure game, I grew up loving the music for KQ and MI and I can't belive with these stunning visuals the music is like this! I can only hope they sort it out for the game. Im really looking forward to it anyway though.

Do you guys remember the original KQ theme? :-) Oh and 'Girl in the tower'?

Girl in the Tower was so sappy. Ugh!

But the music in the King's Quest games was always so beautiful. Especially King's Quest 5.

Yeah, I know Girl in the tower was soppy but I was 15 or thereabouts and soppy myself! :-D

Yes, KQ5 and 6 both had fantastic scores. I never really got into 7 and 8.

Default Kqix

I am sad to see that the project has been stopped beacause of Sierra! I really think they shouldn't put a stop to fan projets like this unless they are planning to develop more games in the series. Same goes for Lucus Arts! I know it has to be about money to a certain extent but the greed has gone too far!
