Default Isn't today some sort of Day in particular?

I don't really know what I'm talking about, and I think it's currently only applicable in other timezones until later, but I'm pretty sure that today is some... sort of ... day? Yeah.

Also have you guys seen this? It's so goddamn precious. Like a little adventure game.

Let's see:
  • Voyage unexpectedly hit the shelves, if you live in the US, that is.
  • A newborn publisher decides it's the best to pick Keepsake as its first game.
  • House of Tales promises to reveal details of its upcoming project, supposedly a revolution in storytelling, any day now.
  • Broken Sword 4 confirmed by Revolution at last.
  • dtp goes global, apparently.
  • A Vampyre Story lives and looks better than ever.
  • After months of avoiding it, I managed to make progress in Quest for Glory, and I'm oh-so loving it.
  • ...and there is this brand new game Jake linked to.
There must be something in the air today.

You're one day early. When will you guys learn that it's on the 18th, not the seventeenth. I've been here for less time, and I learned that pretty fast.

Still, a good day for adventuregaming, hearing what our Ageless, Faceless, Gender-Neutral, Culturally-Ambiguous Adventure Person says. A very good day indeed.

HAPPY SAMOROST DAY except for those of us for whom it's still the 17th.

But I thought you're in California?

No way can it be the 18th at you place, then. Here in Germany it's still the 17th, and your timezone comes long after mine.

If you were somewhere in Australia, things would be different.

Heheheh! That whole "game" takes on a life of its own. Although I doubt that "life" is the appropriate term here... Anyway.

Jaz, that's exactly what Jake meant with what he said.

In Finland, it's still 45 minutes until the The Great Day arrives.

Pfth! He just wanted to beat me at wishing everybody a

Happy Samorost Day!

You might as well admit it, Jake. We've discovered your little ruse.

It's all a conspiracy to move the Samorost Day to the 17th

The best news is on the http://www.amanitadesign.com page:

We are still working hard on Samorost2, but as it will be longer and more detailed than the first Samorost, it will take a couple of months yet to finish.

And they even have a Samorost Store...

Hah! I thought it was today!

I'd just been to a class presentation where the teacher showed us Samorost as an example for what Flash is capable of. And I thought to myself: "Hi, self. Wasn't Samorost Day sometime in August?"
